If you want to serenade your true love for Valentines Day but cant carry a tune, the Allen Community College choir can help.
ACCs choir department is bringing back its Singing Valentine program after a several-year absence. For $20, choir members will deliver a song, red carnation and candy bar anywhere in the Iola area. Select a song, either All of Me by John Legend or Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain & Tennille, and pick a timeframe, either between 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14.
Proceeds from the event go to help the choir department with its scholarships, field trips, uniforms and equipment.
Choir director Adrienne Fleming said the fundraising event is a fun way to remind the community of ACCs music programs.
Weve got a lot of exciting things going on and we have a lot of talented students, she said.
